Don McNees serves as a Strategic Advisor to Benmedica, supporting the leadership team with healthcare strategy and market guidance. He has been a trusted advisor to Benmedica since 2013, offering critical insight as the organization has evolved into a leading platform for medication benefit intelligence.
With over 30 years of broad-based healthcare experience, Don has advised providers, payors, and healthcare innovators across the full continuum of care—both domestically and internationally. His work spans strategic planning, business development, and growth initiatives for some of the largest integrated health systems, health plans, and medical suppliers in the country.
Don’s career includes more than 20 years as the founder and head of Claymore Consulting Inc., along with leadership roles at Price Waterhouse (PWC), Ernst & Young, and a boutique strategy firm founded by Wharton School faculty. He has also served as Chief Strategist for multi-hospital systems, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for a multi-state Blue Cross plan, and in global strategy roles for a Fortune 100 international healthcare company.
Don holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He is also a frequent lecturer on healthcare strategy at graduate schools of medicine, health administration, and business.
