Bruce Wilkinson is a founding force behind Benmedica and a recognized leader in pharmacy technology and healthcare standards. With more than 25 years of experience across PBM, health plan, and health IT environments, Bruce brings deep expertise in advancing industry collaboration and improving medication benefit delivery.
Bruce launched Benmedica in 2012 with a focus on helping the industry better understand and apply Formulary & Benefit (F&B) standards, which he helped author through his leadership at NCPDP. His work laid the foundation for what is now the BenCore™ Medication Benefit Insights platform—transforming complex formulary data into actionable, system-ready insights that drive clarity, efficiency, and value.
As President and Industry Affairs lead, Bruce plays a pivotal role in guiding Benmedica’s strategic vision, while serving as a subject matter expert on industry standards and fostering alignment with national initiatives. He remains deeply engaged in NCPDP and leads Benmedica’s efforts in advancing the evolution of ePrescribing and benefit data exchange.
Bruce’s prior experience includes leadership roles at CVS Health (Caremark) as ePrescribing Lead, where he shaped standards for electronic prior authorization (ePA), Real-Time Prescription Benefit (RTPB), and F&B. He has also held positions at Express Scripts, Accenture, and ZixCorp (PocketScript)—bringing a uniquely well-rounded perspective to every facet of medication benefit optimization.
